Der Industrieverband Schmuck- und Metallwaren Idar-Oberstein e. V. besteht in seiner jetzigen Form seit dem Jahre 1958. Er ist sowohl Arbeitgeberverband mit Tarifhoheit für alle tarif- und arbeitsrechtlichen Fragen als auch Fachverband.

In seiner Eigenschaft als Fachverband berät er seine Mitglieder in allen Bereichen der Industrie - wie z. B. Wettbewerbsproblemen, Umweltverordnungen, Nomenklaturfragen etc. - und vertritt ihre Interessen bei Bund, Ländern und Gemeinden. Gleichermaßen unterhält er regen Kontakt zu den Pressemedien, insbesondere zu allen Fachmagazinen der Branche.

Die Öffentlichkeitsarbeit des Verbandes erstreckt sich weiterhin auf die Präsenz bei wichtigen Fachmessen im In- und Ausland, bei denen er sowohl die Interessen der ausstellenden Firmen als auch die Industrie im Allgemeinen vertritt.

 

The Industrial Association for Jewellery and Metalware exists in its present form since 1958. It is both employers' association - exclusively entitled to conclude tariff agreements - and trade association.

The members may contact the association in all questions such as unfair competition, environmental regulations, nomenclature etc., and the association represents their interests in contacting the authorities on all levels. Furthermore there is a permanent cooperation with the relevant trade press as well as the local press. Additionally the association is present at important fairs at home and abroad and is responsible to take care of the problems of the exhibiting members as well as of all questions concerning the industry.
